You know when you find a small bump on your face that looks like it may have a whitehead in the middle? Then you proceed to taking two fingers to try to squeeze it out? Well, I just described myself a couple of weeks ago. Whatever you do, don't do what I did... because it's going to cost ya. After unsuccessfully retrieving that whitehead, I ended up getting a large, inflamed, & painful bump right next to my nose. I haven't had a pimple since 2018, so I was panicking a little, or a lot. Luckily, I received a PR package from Soko Glam who was kind enough to include a microneedling hydrocolloid patch--the Acropass Trouble Cure. I've never used a pimple patch before just because I haven't had a pimple for such a long time, but as a nurse, I do know that hydrocolloid patches are incredibly beneficial for wound healing.
The Acrosspass Trouble Cure 2-step dissolving microneedle patch has two steps. The first step involves using the cleansing pad (includes 6) that contains tea tree leaf oil (antibacterial) & salicylic acid (BHA) to cleanse & prep the inflamed area. Next is applying the microneedle patch (includes 6) that contains hyaluronic acid (humectant) & niacinamide (stable form of vitamin B3) to treat the inflamed area. Upon application, there was some slight stinging, but that quickly dissipated after a couple of seconds. It's recommended to leave it on for at least ~2 hours, but I personally found it more beneficial to leave it on overnight. To learn more about the actual technology of this patch, read more here on the Soko Glam website.
Ok, so my thoughts on this spot treatment? WOW. Let me tell you that my little breakout went away after using five of the cleansing pads & patches. I still have one set leftover that I ended up using for this blog's photo. At the moment I still have a little bit of hyperpigmentation, which I'm treating with a BHA, vitamin C, & niacinamide from Naturium. I'm just so happy that I didn't have to endure the pain & inflammation for longer than a week. This product truly does work & I highly recommend it if you're looking into spot treating any active breakouts you may have. I included other microneedle & regular pimple patches out on the market right now below, so explore those & pick the one you think will work best for your skin.
