Beauty Tools: 3D Facial Roller

A couple of weeks ago, I posted a poll on my Instagram stories to see if anyone was interested in seeing the different beauty tools I use & how I use/incorporate them into my routine. I got a lot of responses, so I'm happy to announce I'll be starting a 'Beauty Tools' series with the first episode out today!

When I first started getting into Korean skincare, I not only researched skincare products to apply to my skin, but also fun beauty tools I can use to enhance my skincare routine. I looked on YesStyle & found this 3D facial roller by Secret Key. Unfortunately, this specific one is no longer available, but make sure to scroll to the bottom of this post to see similar ones I've found for you. What I love about the 3D facial roller is that it fits naturally in the contours of the face, neck, & shoulders, so while rolling & massaging along these contours, it helps relieve tense muscles & increase blood circulation. According to Secret Key, this facial roller has a multi-angle structure that makes rolling on your face a smooth experience, an aesthetic that is based on the kneading techniques of massuers, & it's coated with platinum that'll make the roller long-lasting.

3D Facial Roller

Before I get started, I make sure I have either a serum, facial oil, or moisturizer on the areas I'll be working on to reduce pulling or tugging on the skin. The way I hold this roller is in an upright position so that the motion is more of a push rather than a pull. As we age, we're already losing collagen & elastin in our skin. On top of that, gravity is already against us, so our skin can start to sag even more if we pull our skin. I initially start along my neck & work in vertical sections, starting slightly off-center to avoid the trachea & ending in the section below my ear lobe. Afterwards, I move to the jawline. For anyone looking to get a more defined jaw, this tool is great for really chiseling that area. I place the facial roller starting at the chin & roll it upward towards my ear lobe.

Next, I move to the actual face, angling the roller the same way I did when working with my jawline. Since this particular roller is much larger than other ones on the market, I like to work in two sections on my face--my jowl & cheek areas. The next area I move to is my forehead. For this section, I go back to holding the roller in a vertical position, starting in the center & working towards the sides. The last & final area I use the roller is on my shoulders (where I get a ton of knots). I flip my facial roller upside down, but still move in an upward motion. Since the spheres are decently sized, it really helps get out all of the knots & relieves my tense muscles!

Alright you guys... I hope you enjoyed this post on the first of my 'Beauty Tools' series!
