How To Support the #BlackLivesMatter Movement
It's no secret that systemic racism exists. The past few weeks I've felt incredibly angry in regards to police brutality against the Black community/POC & our government's inability to hear the cries of their citizens when all they're asking for is equality. As someone who supports the #BlackLivesMatter movement, I've been trying to find ways to help, through listening, reading, educating myself & others, donating, sharing, having difficult conversations, watching documentaries, signing petitions, supporting Black-owned businesses... the list is endless. My intent is to help, so whatever it takes, I stand by the Black community.
Below are different ways to help the #BLM movement. If you have any other suggestions, please don't hesitate & list them in the comment section!
*3/4/21 UPDATE*
I received a lovely email from a woman who sent me a news article link that has an updated list of Black-Owned businesses. She thought it would be a great idea to post this link to this blog post, & I completely agreed! Please find the link below, & continue to share & support these businesses if you can.
