The Hair Accessories I Always Wear at Home

The Headband

Applying my favorite skin & hair care products everyday wouldn't be the same if it weren't were for my favorite hair accessories! One thing that I have to do before doing any skincare routine & even on my no-wash hair days is putting on a microfiber headband. I honestly can't stand having anything in my face, so these are a must in my routine. The ones I use the most are from Amazon. They come in a pack of 4 & in different colors (all the neutral shades I need in life!), plus they're extremely comfortable & cute to wear. Here are a few more options from different sites:

The Hair Tie

Whenever I use my headbands, I still find that I need my hair away from my neck. Allowing my hair to move freely side to side along my neck when I'm doing something is just one of the pet peeves I have. I know. I'm crazy, but really... it bothers me! The hair accessory that helps me get my hair out of the way are the Invisibobble hair ties. I featured them in my 4 Hairstyle Ideas for Nurses post & featuring them again here because I don't know what I'd do without them in my daily life. They're just so useful to have around & come in a variety of colors--black, clear, light beige, & more! What I love about them is that they don't give me tension headaches like the traditional hair tie does; they are easy to clean since they're made out of polyurethane; & if you notice it's loosening, you can easily contract them again by putting it in hot water. Genius.

The Hair Towel

The last hair accessory I've really been enjoying post-hair washing lately has been the original Aquis hair towel that I purchased from Amazon. The only reason why I even considered purchasing this towel was because the one I was using at home was becoming so heavy on my head when I only have thin, shoulder length hair. This new hair towel has definitely become a game changer. It's made out of microfiber, which supposedly sucks more water out of your hair & in less time. I honestly haven't seen a significant change in the drying time of my hair, but I do like that it's just a lot more light on the head & a more gentle material to prevent further hair damage. It also comes in a turban style, which I didn't know about, or else I would've gotten that one! Basically, all I do is wrap the towel around my head & hair, then tuck the end near the nape of my neck. Some other style & color options include:
